Your Traditional Family Butcher

W. Alderson & Son is proud to have been serving you and your community for almost 100 Years

Established in 1934 by Mr Wilfred Alderson, this traditional family butcher is in its third generation of Aldersons. Now run by Nigel Alderson, who took over from his father Derek in 2009, W. Alderson & Son still applies the same ethos of locally sourced, quality fresh produce that Nigel’s grandfather Wilf and father Derek worked so hard to build their impeccable reputation on.

At W. Alderson & Son we employ a team of passionate and experienced butchers. Owner and head of butchery Nigel won a prestigious scholarship to hone his craft with local artisans in Germany, and Albert, our most loyal member of the team, has worked for our family for over 40 years and counting!

We are dedicated to working with local suppliers, supporting our beloved community and ensuring that we can guarantee the freshest produce on the market. We are always available for advice on our products, cooking tips and how to feed your family for less. And to make your life easier, we offer a local delivery service.
